3xScreen utilises Sony BRC-H700 HD robotic cameras and Sony RM-BR300 remote control units in our HD live productions since they enable a HD-SDI genlocked workflow in which multiple cameras can be controlled by a single remote control unit, increasing operational efficiency and cutting down the visual impact of camera positions. To further maximise the production benefits of our Sony robotic cameras we have developed custom-made camera stands and the extension of Visca camera controls over Cat5 cabling so that the cameras can easily be located at any distance up to 100 metres from the controller.
