Man City’s Joe Hart and Liverpool’s Jose Enrique battled other stars of sport, music and entertainment for the prize of UK FIFA 13 champ in EA Sport’s Celebrity Cup. 3xScreen created a 17-source video production to ensure fans didn’t miss a goal.
Client: mojofuel – for EA Sports
Brief: Create a 17-source live production for the big screen at the event including a quad-view of all four simultaneous games, picture-in-picture coverage of the console and players for each game and the integration of instant replays, score ladder and other graphics.

3xScreen was responsible for the live production, taking numerous fixed and roving camera and audio feeds arranged by mojouel along with feeds from our own HD robotic cameras.
For each of the Sony PS3 gaming consoles we removed HDCP security and split the feed, creating a SDI feed to input in to our production. Three Newtek Tricasters and a Blackmagic ATEM Video Switcher were daisy-chained together so as to create the required number of game picture-in-picture and other views.
Instant replays were generated by integrating a Newtek 3Play in to the production. Newtek Livetext machines were used to create graphics along with an SDI feed that was converted from the display output of a computer that tallied up the leader board.
A team of 3 video producer/engineers and a unit manager staffed the live production for 3xScreen.
